Bonnie was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School, Class of 1968 and a former employee of Michigan National Bank. She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling with her husband, James Brighton and especially spending time with her family.
The former Bonnie Curtis was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, James A. "Thumper" Brighton (30 Aug 1949-25 July 1999) ; parents, William Curtis and Dorothy (Hoy) Curtis; brother, Andrew Curtis and sisters, Mary Ann Southwell and Linda Beck.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Lisa (Mark) Nurenburg and sons, Jamie (Jamie) Brighton and Jay (Angela) Brighton; 10 grandchildren, Zackary, Amber and Ashley Nurenburg, Katelynn, Andrew, Jacob and Brendon Brighton, Mikayla, Karissa and Bradlee Brighton; brothers, Dennis Curtis (Sue) and Ronald Curtis; sister-in-law, Cindy Curtis.
Funeral services were held at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge.
