MRS. MABEL CHENOWETH,
HERE 42 YEARS, DIES
Mrs. Mabel Clarrisa Chenoweth, 90, of 1738 N. Whitchell Ave., died at 12:05 a. m. today in the Decatur and Macon County Hospital.
She was a resident of Decatur for 42 years and the widow of the late William F. Chenoweth, a Wabash Railroad employe.
Mrs. Chenoweth was born in Columbia County, New York, Feb. 28, 1862, a daughter of Samuel T.and Armenia Curtis.
She was married to William F. Chenoweth in Petersburg, Ill., March 8, 1882. He died Jan. 3, 1939 in Decatur.
She was a member of Grace Methodist Church.
Mrs. Chenoweth leaves three daughters: Mrs. J. D. May, Mrs. Lois C. Curry and Mrs. H. L. Walker, all of Decatur. A son preceded her in death.
Eight grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
Services will be at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday in the Monson Funral Home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p. m. today.
