Jack's father's surname was Chalk. Curtis was a name he used at times instead of Chalk.
Jack William Curtis
BURLEY - Jack William Curtis, 80, Burley, died Monday morning, August 31, 1981, at the Veteran's Home in Boise.
He was born Sept. 26, 1900 in Keosauqua, Iowa, the son of William and Anna Luke Chalk. He married Eva Parker June 14, 1950, at Compton, Calif. She later died. He was a veteran of World War II, past commander of the DAV and he was active in the Cassia County Senior Citizens. He had worked as a carpenter.
He is survived by a brother and four sisters, including Mrs. Cecil Cargill, Burley.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a son.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at McCulloch's Chapel with the Rev. Robert Bigler officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery with miltary graveside rites by the DAV, VFW, World War II Veterans and American Legion. Friends may call at McCulloch's Wednesday from 4 to 8:30 p.m. and prior to services on Thursday.
