Jeanne Curtis, 82, longtime Guymon resident passed away early Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The daughter of W.W. and Pauline Ester (Knox) Lemmon, she was born August 10, 1926 in Compton, California.

Jeanne and Tom Curtis were united in marriage on September 2, 1944 at St. John, Kansas. The Curtis family moved to Guymon from Garden City, Kansas in August of 1957.

Jeanne was a homemaker and member of the Guymon Church of the Nazarene. She was an active Pink Lady with the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society and the Home Extension Club. Jeanne was also active with the Coffee Memorial Blood Center of Amarillo, serving on the local board.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Tom on September 9, 1994.

Survivors include her three children: Don Curtis and wife, Sherry of Guymon, Dennis Curtis of Phoenix, Arizona, and Sandra Eaton of Amarillo, Texas. Jeanne is also survived by nine grandchildren: Kefty Eaton and wife, Lejanne, Kevin Eaton and wife, Terri, Katrina and husband, James Bo Atkins, Clay Curtis and wife, Kara, Matt Curtis and wife, Tracy, Erin and husband, Clark Purdy, Brian Curtis, Jamie Curtis, and Kelli and husband, Dax Johnston; seventeen great grandchildren; and three sisters: Rita Cochran of Napels, Florida, Karen Morse of New Jersey, and Sally Ritter of Guymon.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, October 31st at 2:00 p.m. at the Guymon Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Wayne Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. Services are under the direction of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home.

The family suggest that memorials be made to the Nazarene Church Memorial Fund. Memorials will be accepted at the church office or the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942. Friends can sign the online guest book at
