VIETNAM - US MARINE CORPS

Wilder Franklin (Curt) Curtess of Piedmont, OK, was born October 28, 1937 in Boulder, Colorado. He went to his peaceful rest in the Lord on November 9, 2003 after a great time of illness. He was a faithful lifetime member of the Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. He also faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corp, serving twice in Vietnam. Upon leaving the military, he joined the team at Monroe Business Systems & then going on to R.K. Black & Associates. Mr. Curtess was preceded in death by his parents. Wilder Monroe (W.M.) Curtess & Sarah Helen York Curtess. Survivors include his faithful & loving wife of many years, Janice, of the home. One son Richard Curtess & wife Lisa, of Edmond, OK. And one daughter Rebecca McCarley & husband Alan, of Piedmont, OK. Also are four precious grandchildren, Nicole, Curtess, Ashley & Alexis. Other survivors include one brother, GP Curtess of OKC, and two sisters. Shirley Gulley of Sanger, TX & Mary Ann Matthews & husband Jack of Piedmont, OK. Also leaving behind are many other loving family members & many many friends. Mr. Curtess never met a stranger. He was greatly loved by all & will be greatly missed by all. A great light has gone out of our lives for the moment, but he will live on in our wonderful memories & within our hearts. We are planning a great reunion when we meet once again on the other shore! What a wonderful day that will be! The family would like to give special thanks to the nursing staff of Deaconess Hospital & the wonderful doctors. Your loving care & compassion will always be remembered & greatly appreciated. Services will be Wed, Nov 12, 2003 at 2:00 pm in the Guardian West Chapel at 41st & N. MacArthur. Memorials may be made to the Central Seventh-day Adventist Church or to the National Wildlife Federation.GUARDIAN WEST 41 & N. MacArthur 495-9292
