|Death: ||Jun. 12, 1796|
Anne CURRY was born in 1754. She married Samuel Clark ADAMS in Botetourt Co., VA, about 1776. Samuel was the son of William ADAMS and Mary WALKER, immigrants from Ireland, but of Scottish descent. Before their marriage, Samuel had been part of the McAfee Company who explored KY. He later fought in the Battle of Point Pleasant in KY. In 1779, Samuel and Anne migrated to Mercer Co., KY. Anne had six children, two born in VA, four in KY. She died June 12, 1796, in Mercer Co., KY, at the birth of her sixth child. Samuel remarried and later he and the children moved to Parke Co., IN.
Two of Samuel's siblings also married Currys. Margaret ADAMS married John CURRY, parentage as yet unfound. They settled in Knox Co., IN. William ADAMS, Jr., married Mary CURRY, thought to be daughter of William and Sarah CURRY.
Also, somewhere there is a mention of the Battle of King's Mountain in connection to someone.
