Dorothy Curry Brown, formerly of Oxford, Ohio, passed away in Michigan on Aug. 8, 2001.

She was born in Gettysburg, Ohio, on July 26, 1908, the daughter of John V. and Viola M. Curry. She married Paul M. Brown on Sept. 1, 1937, in Oxford, Ohio. She received her bachelor of science degree in education from Miami University. She enjoyed her students and 27 years of teaching English, French, history and music. She retired from Edgewood High School, Trenton, Ohio, in 1974. She and her husband, Paul, relocated to Little Platte Lake in Honor, Michigan, where they had vacationed since 1945. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, playing the piano and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and teacher. She attended Oxford Presbyterian Church and Honor Congregational Church. She lived her Christian faith daily.

She is survived by a son, a sister; a sister-in-law; granddaughter, grandson; two great-granddaughters; nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul and her parents.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, at The Smith and Ogle Funeral Home, 101 W. Church St., Oxford, Ohio. A visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Sims Brier Cemetery, Franklin County, Indiana.
