Glenna Bernice Cochran, 83, was born on July 21, 1927 in Omega, Oklahoma to Roy James and Lurl Mabel (Fry) Curry. Miss Cochran moved to Oklahoma City in 1945, where she met Buddy Cochran, whom she married on November 10, 1945. In the 1950s they owned and operated Cochran's Drive-In at the corner of NW 50th & Portland Ave. She later worked as a secretary at the VA Hospital, retiring in 1998. She was a longtime member of New Hope Church, and was youth leader for 13 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas P. "Buddy" Cochran and her brother, James Curry. She was survived by her daughter, Susan Music and husband Boyd; Grandchildren, Amy and husband Chris Davis, Melissa and husband Ellery Coffman, Angela and husband Joseph Jamis; great-grandchildren, Fox Davis & Van Jamis. Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 20, from 9:00 a.m. until 8 p.m. Services to celebrate her life were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at New Hope United Methodist Church, 11600 N. Council Road, with Dr. J.D. Ward officiating. Burial followed at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. All services were under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Service, Oklahoma City.
