DELHI (Special) — Emmett Lee Curry, 69, died in a Monroe hospital yesterday morning, after a month-long illness.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church in Delhi, with the Rev. Dr. John Gibson officiating. Interment followed in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery under direction of Gay's Funeral home.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. C. A. Sutton, Rayville; Mrs. John Shepherd, Delhi; Miss Nellie June Curry, Jackson, Miss.; five sons, W. E. Curry, Sulphur Springs, Tex.; J. W. Curry, Delhi; R. L. Curry, Rayville; H. L. Curry, Bernice; K. C. Curry, Corpus Christi, Tex.; two stepsons, H. T. Nelson, Winnsboro; W. E. Nelson, Plaquemine; 35 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Lamar Duckworth, John Will Barrett, Jack Womack, W. R. Medaries, Maurice McKinney, and Bob May.
