Southern Nevada pioneer died after a lengthy illness. She had resided in Southern Nevada since the early days of Goldfield and Tonopah. Three years ago, shortly before the death of her husband the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mrs. Akin took over the contract Mr. Akin had at the time of his death to deliver the mail from Tonopah to Goldfield Depot.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Walter W. Booth of Penelas and Mrs Sadie Robertson of Tonopah; sister
Mrs. E. E. Coyle of Tonopah; brother, Frank Curran of Silver Peak; five grandchildren, Charles Barton of Tonopah, George Robertson, Irene Robertson and LoLeta Roberts of Tonopah; two great grandchildren Patrick and Donald Terrell of Tonopah.
