The Gilpin Observer; Central City, Colorado; 16 March 1899, p8 c3:
Dr. C. A. Bourk of Nevada telephoned The Observer this morning that Andrew Curnow, a lad 13 years of age, had just been drowned. He was drawing water from a well in front of the Matt O'Brien residence when his bucket fell in. He attempted to recover the bucket by climbing down the well, and when about half way down he slipped and fell headfirst to the bottom. It is not certain yet whether he broke his neck or was drowned, as there was only a foot and a half of water in the well. He is a son of Mrs. William Prouse.
Note, the Rocky Mountain News identifies him as Reginald. But several other newspapers listed him under the name of Andrew, his older brother.
