Funeral service for Mrs. Elizabeth "Betsy" Curbow, age 58, of Garrison, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at Laird-McGill Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Kobler officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs
Mrs. Curbow died Sunday, April 4, 2004, in Garrison. Born May 3, 1945, in Durham, N.C., she was the daughter of Vinnie Wilkerson Smith and J.R. Smith. Mrs. Curbow was employed as a school teacher. She was a believer in the Lutheran faith. She was married to her loving husband, Joe Curbow on September 28, 1973.
Survivors include mother-in-law, Ouida Curbow of Garrison; brother, J.R. Smith, Jr. of Wilmington, N.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Will Wallace of Kembridge, Va.,
Jennifer and Rick Elmore of Powell, Tenn.; brothers-in-law, Jim and Marisue Curbow of Nacogdoches, Billy Curbow of Garrison, Hank and Stephanie Curbow of Garrison; sisters-in-law, Marie and Hayse Adkison of Nacogdoches,
Jeannie and Gary Butler of Gladewater; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Curbow was preceded in death by her parents.
