Funeral for Carrol Jeanne Brown, 62, of Lawton, Oklahoma, will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008, at St John Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Mayer, pastor , officiating.
Mrs. Brown died on Monday, March 10, 2008 in Lawton. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
Carrol Jeanne was born on November 2, 1945 in Craig Field, Alabama, to Donal B. and Lauree J. Sherrard Cunningham. She grew up in an Air Force family traveling to various duty stations until she graduated from Ridglea High School in Fort Worth, Texas.
She married William R. Brown on August 14, 1964 in Forth Worth, Texas. She was an army wife and mother receiving the Molly Pitcher Award in 1986 for her support and service as an army wife. She moved with her family to Lawton in December of 1986. She worked as an office manager for Re/Max and then Home Finders from 1988 until 1995. After retiring she was a homemaker. She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, of the home, her son and daughter in law, Donal B. and Cynthia F. Brown, of Lawton, Oklahoma; her daughter and son in law, Jennifer L. and Jeremy S. Parks, of Weatherford, Oklahoma; two sisters, Pamela Cunningham, of Selma, Alabama and Deborah Lowe and her husband, Randy, of Hayden, Alabama; four grandchildren, Garrett and Liberty Brown, both of Lawton, Oklahoma and Zachary and Sean Parks, both of Weatherford, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
