Marie Cunningham Crouse, 99, of Milner Health Care Center, Rossville, died there at 1 PM Thursday, Jan. 26, 1995. She formerly lived in Dayton. A graduate of Lafayette Conservatory of Music, Mrs. Crouse was an accomplished pianist. Born Nov. 13, 1895, in Americus, she grew up there and lived most of her life in the Dayton area. She married David H. Crouse on Sept. 24, 1916, in Tippecanoe County. He died Aug. 11, 1958. Mr. Crouse was retired from Fairfield Manufacturing Co.

Mrs. Crouse was a member and elder of Dayton Presbyterian Church. She was a life member of Tippecanoe County Historical Society, the YWCA, Daughters of the American Revolution, and was a past worthy matron of Dayton Order of Eastern Star. She had served as a pink lady at Home Hospital for several years. She was a descendant of Tippecanoe County pioneer settler John Cunningham, who was a captain on the old Wabash and Erie Canal. Surviving are a son, Judge David J. Crouse of Lafayette; and a daughter, Mary K. Rowe of Grand Rapids. MI.
