Wilma EuVonne Priest, 78, of Seminole, Okla., the oldest of four children, passed away quietly Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, surrounded by those who loved her. A memorial visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Okla., where she will be laid to rest next to her parents.
EuVonne was born in Wyandette, Okla. to the late Melvin Wiley and Inez Cunningham. After graduating from Seminole High School, she married her sweetheart and moved to Texas where she was a wife, mother and homemaker until 1978, when she moved back to Seminole to be near her family. When she wasn't crocheting her beautiful quilts and dresses for her dolls she was snapping pictures. A huge Country Music fan, she has a great friendship with Freddie Hart and his wife, Ginger, and along with her friend, Fran Poppen, were devoted Freddie Hart Fan Club Members.
Survivors include daughters, LaVanda Priest, Tammy Priest, and Mel Priest and fiancÚ, Robert Marek, all of Waco; grandsons, Michael Singletary, Christopher Bounds, and Brandon Bounds; a granddaughter, Scherre Tucker, whom she raised and was especially proud of; sisters, Mildred Jackson, of Tulsa, Okla., and Melvina Qualls and husband, Roy, of Waco; a brother, Louie Cunningham, of Seminole, Okla.; and the many nieces and nephews that loved her very much.
