Jamie R. Cundiff, 14, of Springfield died at 3:39 p.m. Wednesday from injuries sustained in a car-train accident in Springfield.
He was born June 6, 1976, in Springfield, the son of Gary and Debra Wallace Cundiff.
He was a freshman at Lanphier High School and he played baseball for the Sandy Koufax Baseball League.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. David Danner of Springfield; father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Cundiff of Dawson; grandparents, Charlie Cundiff of Springfield, Berta Cundiff of Auburn, and Frank and Betty Sargent of Springfield; great-grandmother, Velda Greenhaugh of Springfield; stepgrandparents, Coy and Ruth Flota of Mount Vernon; one sister; two stepsisters; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Ervin officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
