Edgar Cummings, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cummings, who live on the Tistadt farm about a mile north of the Stubbtown community, died about 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Presnell hospital in Kennett as a result of a gunshot wound he suffered earlier in the day when he and a companion were hunting squirrels in the woods not far from Deering. The charge of No. 4 shot struck his left arm at and above the elbow, practically severing the member and death was attributed to shock and loss of blood.
Funeral services for the unfortuate youth were held at the home near Stubbtown Tuesday afternoon and interment was in Little Prairie cemetery. He is survived by his parents, a brother Cleo and two sisters, Rebecca and Imogene; also his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Cummings, who live at Wynne, Ark.
