Marilyn Culp Bollinger, of Slidell, LA, entered into eternal rest June 24 in Virginia Beach, VA.
She was the daughter of M. Eleanor Culp and the late Harold W. Culp.
Mrs. Bollinger was a graduate of Gettysburg High School, Pittsburgh Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, and Mount Saint Mary's College in Emmitsburg.
Her career in nursing began at the Anne M. Warner Hospital as a staff nurse. She then joined the Adams County Visiting Nurse Association as a visiting nurse, later assuming the position of nursing supervisor. Mrs. Bollinger retired from nursing in 1997, culminating her career as the administrative nursing supervisor at Green Acres County Home.
As an entrepreneur, Mrs. Bollinger was the owner of The Candy Jar, a candy and craft store in Gettysburg. She was actively involved in the community, serving as a Girl Scout troop leader, a Sunday school teacher at the Gettysburg Presbyterian Church, a charter member of Adams County Hospice, and as a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Slidell, LA.
She was the wife of Harvey W. Bollinger and surviving, in addition to him and also her mother, are two daughters, Norey B. Laug and Gwyn B. Truchon; a son, Harvey W. Bollinger Jr.; five grandchildren, Brian and Nathan Laug, Emily Truchon, and Kyle and Jay Bollinger; a brother, James H. Culp; a sister, Fayne McCleaf; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
