Graveside funeral services will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home, Shafter on Tuesday, August 12, at 10 a.m. at Shafter Memorial Park for Ether Irene Culp, 82, of Bakersfield who passed away August 9 in Tupman. Visitation will be Monday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Irene was born June 18, 1915, in Arkansas and had been a resident of Buttonwillow and Rosedale areas. She is survived by 4 sons, Joseph Brooks of Illinois, Samuel Brooks of Tupman, Kenneth Brooks of Oklahoma, and Gary Culp of Bakersfield; 2 daughters, Zereta Taylor of Bakersfield, and Betty Snyder of Tupman; 2 step-children, Deiva Parks of Tennessee and Henry Culp of Texas; 3 sisters, Alieen Shepherd and AnnaLee Hooten, both of Bakersfield and Margaret of Oklahoma; 22 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many other loving family members.
