TOBACCOVILLE -- Mrs. Lillie Culler Blackburn, 99, of 3844 Tobaccoville Rd., died Monday, October 25, 1999 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Blackburn was the widow of James A. Blackburn, who preceded her in death in 1970. Mrs. Blackburn was born in Stokes County on July 5, 1900, the daughter of the late Jefferson Davis Culler and Tamson Jane Hicks Culler. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Tobaccoville and was a member of the Old Richmond Senior Citizens Club.
Surviving are three daughters, Viola Westmoreland and husband, John Lee, of Rural Hall, Dorothy ''Dot'' Holt and husband, Richard, of Winston-Salem, and Betty Tuttle, of Tobaccoville; four sons, Henry Blackburn and Grover Blackburn and wife, Frances, of Tobaccoville, Robert Blackburn and wife, Louise, of Pinnacle, and Grady Blackburn, of Winston-Salem; 26 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; five great, great grandchildren; one step great, great grandchild; and three special friends, Gynn Cook, Rebecca Gentry, and Kim Costa. Mrs. Blackburn was also preceded in death by two daughters, Ethel Blackburn and Bonnie Helsabeck; one son, Paul Blackburn; and two grandsons, Jimmie Blackburn and Mark Helsabeck. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 28, 1999 at Macedonia Baptist Church by Rev. Paul Norman. Mrs. Blackburn will lie instate at the church from 10:30-11:00 a.m.
