MOTORCYCLE AND AUTO COLLIDE AT CARROLLTON, ONE DIES OF INJURY
A serious accident occurred shortly before one o'clock Saturday afternoon when H. Bungenstock's automobile and a motor cycle ridden by Edwin Culbertson came together at the corner of South Folger street and Lincoln Avenue, say the Carrollton Democrat. Mr. Culbertson was thrown off of his motor cycle and seriously injured.
Mr. Bungenstock was coming east on Lincoln avenue, and Mr. Culbertson was riding south on Folger Street. He had started to a place down the avenue, where he and his father were putting in some concrete culverts, and his father was walking down the street on his way to the Burlington depot. The father was some 50 feet up the street from the corner and witnessed the accident. He says he heard the driver of the car honk his horn, but could not see the car. He looked away an instant and when he looked he saw the car coming round the corner and almost at that instant the car and motor cycle came together and the boy was thrown to the street.
Culbertson died of his injuries at 3:15 at the General hospital. He was the son of R. G. Culbertson, was 22 years old and lived near Hale.
