Salem-February 18, 2008, Phemie V. Crumbaker, 90, died at 5:10 p.m. Monday at the Holander House in Salem.
Mrs. Crumbaker was born June 3, 1917 in Washingtonville, a daughter of Thomas and Ethel Hartzel Murphy and had lived in this area most of her life.
She was press operator at the former Mullins Manufacturing in Salem. She attended Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Washingtonville and First Friends Church of Salem. She was an antique dealer and collector.
She is survived by a step daughter; a step son; a sister, Annabelle Hively Brain of Phoenix, AZ; five step grandchildren; many step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Preisler in 1963, her second husband, Arden H. Crumbaker in 2003, a son, Mark Preisler, two sisters, Agnes Toot and Jessie Metz, two brothers, George T. Murphy and James A. Murphy and a step son.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Salem. Friends may call from 10-11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
