Mabel Frances Crum, 91, Carthage, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in St. Luke's Nursing Center, Carthage.
Mabel Frances Parker was born July 13, 1921 SE of Carthage; the daughter of the late Philo W. Parker and Della Ralston Parker. She was a 1939 graduate of Carthage High School and married Raleigh Edgar Crum on August 4, 1943 in Seattle, Washington.
She was the chief operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 19 years and worked in sales for Leggett & Platt for 9 years, retiring in May 1977.
Mabel was the oldest active member of Bethel United Methodist Church, where she served as pianist many years.
She was a member of the Wesleyann United Methodist Women, the Lincoln Ladies, former president of the Merry Mixers Extension Club, a volunteer for Crosslines and was an active participant in the O.A.T.S. Bus and SMB travel group.
Survivors include a brother Mervin (Loretta) Parker, Webb City, MO. and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raleigh, Two brothers, Lemoyne and Truman Parker.
Funeral services being held at Knell Mortuary with the Rev. Crystal Wicks officiating.
Interment in Park Cemetery.
