Clarkston, Wash. -- Memorial service for Betty E. Croy, 88, will be today at 2 p.m. at the Clarkston United Methodist Church.

Another memorial service, in Sandpoint, will be Thursday at 1p.m. at Coffelt's Moon Chapel. Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint in Sandpoint is in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Croy, who was born in Ilia, Wash., died Monday.

She moved to Clarkston in 1914, graduating from high school in 1926. She graduated from Lewis-Clark Normal School in 1929 and taught school in Cottonwood and Whitebird, Idaho.

She moved to Hope, Idaho, in 1933 and taught at the Hope School for 16 years.

Mrs. Croy was a member of the Hope Methodist Church and served as treasurer. She later became a member of the Clark Fork Methodist Church and was active in the Senior Center.

She moved to Clarkston in 1993.

Survivors include her husband, Paul of Lewiston; three children, Janet Mitchell of Louisiana, and Arthur Croy and Linda Hossner, both of Clarkston; nine grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren.
