EAST LONGMEADOW - Ann L. ( Crowley ) Carabine, 51, died after a long illness in a local nursing home, Monday, June 28, 2004. She was the daughter of Alma E. (Duval) Crowley of Springfield and the late William J. Crowley . Ann was born in Springfield and has been a resident of East Longmeadow for the past 22 years. She had been a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse at Baystate Medical Center for 16 years prior to her present position of Trainer for Information Systems. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting and gardening. Besides her mother, Ann leaves her husband of 28 years, William T. Carabine; a son, Eric W. Carabine of Springfield; a daughter, Kristin A. Carabine of East Longmeadow; and a sister, Joan Provost of Chicopee. The family will receive friends in the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow Thursday from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday July 2nd at the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home in E. Longmeadow, followed by burial in St. Michael's Cemetery in Springfield. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to the Breast Cancer Fund c/o Baystate Medical, 3400 Main St., Springfield, MA 01199, attn: Lucy Guiggio.
