Nora Jane (Bosen) Crowels, 85, of Sapulpa was accepted into the Lord's arms on Monday, January 17, 2011. She passed away at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, Okla. She was born on September 7, 1925 in Sapulpa, Okla. to Sam and Ester (Sapulpa) Bosen.
She was preceded in death by her husband Newman Crowels, Sr., two daughters, Mary Ellen Crowels and Shirley Tiger; parents, Sam and Ester (Sapulpa) Bosen; three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by three sons, Freddie and David Crowels of the home, and Newman Crowels, Jr., of Sapulpa; one daughter, Mary Isaac of Sapulpa; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, Patricia Banks, Wanda Tecumseh, Josephine Tiger, Barbra Tiger, Joann Whitehead, Alfred Bevenue, Jr. and Danny Foster.
Wake services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Little Cussetah Indian Baptist Church, Sapulpa.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2011 at Little Cussetah Indian Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Reverend Paul Fixico. Bearers will be Sonny Crowels, Johnny Crowels, Stanley Tiger, Jaime Garcia and Greg Longbrook. Interment will be at the Crowels Family Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
