Forrest Wayne Crowder, 81, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Well Star Kennestone Hospital, Marietta, Ga.
He was born Oct. 11, 1931 in Covington, Indiana to Walter Marvin and Eliza Woods Crowder. He was married to Antoinette Dapkus in 1956.
Surviving are his children, Linda Lee (David) Allen, Michael Wayne (Ginny) Crowder, David Andrew (Deborah) Crowder and Laura Lynn Beene; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a sister, Laura Jane Morlan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Everett Lee, Wendel and Rendall and two sisters, Viola Roman and Barbara Sue Holliman.
He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carriers, the Midway CVA-41 and the Essex CVA-9.
