Alice (Gariepy) Croteau, 81, of Hillview Road, a former Northampton business owner, died Thursday in Holyoke Hospital.
She and her late husband, Herve Croteau, formerly owned the Croteau Hardware Store in Northampton.
Born and schooled in Fitchburg, she lived in Northampton for many years.
She lived in this city from 1961, and was a member of the National Hardware Association and the Quilting Club of Holyoke.
She leaves a godchild, Martine Meunier of Hollywood, Fla., and nieces and a nephew in Canada.
