He was a member of Towne Boulevard Church of God, in Middletown, Ohio. He was a former employee of National Cash Register Company and retired from Armco Steel, where he worked for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Essie Ellis Crosthwaite; and a granddaughter, Lori Dea Rice. He is survived by three daughters, Evelyn, Joyce and Louise.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 3. Burial was at Brown Cemetery.
