Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 12:00 noon. Friends wishing to attend may meet at 11:45 a.m. at the entrance to the cemetery. Following the interment there will be a Service of Remembrance held at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of the Saskatoon Funeral Home, followed by a reception at the Edwards Family Centre. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Jack, her parents Howard and Elsie Crossman and brother Gerald Crossman. She is survived by her son Garry, sister Gladys Pitts (Crossman), sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dorothy was born in Canwood, SK but spent most of her adult life in Saskatoon where she met her husband Jack. One of her favorite places to relax was at their cottage at Turtle Lake. She served on the Cosmo and Kinsmen Elmwood Board of Directors for 50 plus years and was instrumental in establishing Family and Friends and served as Secretary-Treasurer on the Committee. She was a Life Long Member of the Nutana Legion Ladies Auxiliary and was also awarded the Silver Spoon Award in 2010 for all her years of volunteer service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kinsmen Elmwood Residence, or Cosmopolitan Industries. Condolences may be sent to email@example.com.
