Mrs. GAROLD BOURN
Mrs. Mildred (Cross) Bourn, 59, wife of Garold Bourn, who had resided at 128 Lincoln St., died this morning at Putnam Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks.
The daughter of Olin Sr. and Mary (Welch) Cross, she was born in Shaftsbury April 17, 1910. Her education had been received in the Shaftsbury and Bennington schools. She had been employed in various mills in Bennington. She and her first husband founded the the Sourdiffe Nursing Home and operated it for many years.
Survivors besides her husband are one son, Joseph Sourdiffe of Boston, a brother, Olin Cross of Shaftsbury; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Morse and Mrs. Mary Pratt, both of Bennington; three grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Hanson-Walbrdige Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9.
A Requiem Mass will be offered Saturday at 9 am in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Center Shaftsbury.
