BOYD, TX - Braman, Rowena Helena, 89, died June 5, 2010 at her home. A memorial service for Rowena will be held on Wed., July 21 at 1 p.m., at the North Woodlawn Baptist Church, 1409 N. Woodlawn, Derby. Rowena was born Nov. 12, 1920 in Lyons, KS to John and Daisy Hartle Cross. She was the youngest of 7 children. She graduated from Lyons High School. After graduation she spent most of her adult life living in Wichita. Rowena was a homemaker. She was a Foster Grandparent in Wichita for 17 years until she moved to Boyd, TX on her 80th birthday in 2000. Survivors include daughters, Donna Hopwood of Boyd, TX, Johnna Burnell and Mickie Braman of Wichita; sons, Timothy Castor of Wichita, Patrick Braman of Wichita and Marcus Braman of Phoenix, AZ; 10 Grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
