GREENVILLE-Funeral services for Lee Roy Cross,72, of Greenville were at 10 a.m. today at Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville. He died April 6, 1994 at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial was in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
He was a retired warehouse employee with the city of Greenville. He had been a resident of Greenville for the past 14 years. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a Pentecostal.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Wright Cross of Greenville; four sons, the Rev. Billy Wayne Wright and Mike Wright, both of Greenville; Edgar Wright,Jr.of Mountain home, Ark., and Jackie Wright of Memphis, Tenn., three daughters, Linda Powell of Florence, Miss., Pamela Frith of Greenville and Cherry Armstrong of Southhaven, Miss., four brothers, T.W. Cross of Eupora, Miss., Clinton and Linton Cross, both of Greenville, and Billy Cross of Clarksdale, Miss.; two sisters, Eva Mae Munn of Greenwood and Ann Johnson of Greenville; 12 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
