PATRICIA C. COLVIN
Patricia C. Colvin, 78, of Berrien
Springs, died Sunday, September 21,
2003, at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo
following a brief illness.
Mrs. Colvin was born December 8, 1924,
in Three Rivers to Berto and Mildred
(Heslett) Crose. She was a 1942
graduate of Three Rivers High School.
In addition to raising her family,
she was employed as a cardiopulmonary
technician at Lee Memorial Hospital
in Dowagic and as a receptionist
and medical assistant to Dr. Koudele
in Dowagiac. She also worked in the
Visitor's Hospital in Buchanan.
She married Jack Warren Colvin on
April 1, 1944, in Greenville, South
Carolina, and he survives. The
couple enjoyed over 59 years of
marriage together.
Mrs. Colvin was a longtime member
of the Berrien Springs United
Methodist Church in Berrien Springs.
She was a life member and past
Matron of the Welcome F. Mason
Chapter #296 Order of the Eastern
Star in Berrien Springs. She also
served as a past president of the
Berrien County Association and as
a Grand Committee member of the
Grand Chapter of the Michigan
Chapter of the Order of the
Eastern Star.
In addition to her husband Jack,
Mrs. Colvin is survived by a
daughter, Kande (James) Hawks
of Berrien Springs: three sons,
Authur (Gloria) Colvin of Edwardsburg:

Cheyenne, Wyoming:
Pepper (Linda) Colvin of Edwardsburg:
12 grandchildren:
Todd Hawks, Jeff Hawks, Ann McDonough,

VanDyke, Mattew Colvin, Jennifer

Mrs. Colvin was preceded in death by
her mother, Mildred Herschel:

and one brother, Darrell Crose.
A funeral service celebrating her
life will be held at 3 p.m. on
Thursday, September 25, 2003, at
Legacy Family Funeral Services -
Matthew R. Purchase Chapel, Berrien
Springs, with the Rev. Wayne Babcock
officiating. Friends are invited to
visit with the family from 5 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday and one hour prior to the
service at the funeral home. An Eastern
Star service will be held at 7 p.m.
Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials in her memory may be made
