Thomas Crosby age 74 of Williamsburg, Iowa died peacefully Thursday at his home. Burial in the Calvary Cemetery, Marengo, Iowa.

Thomas Leo Crosby was the son of James Harold and Anna Belle Wheelock Crosby. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1957 and received his Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Iowa, Iowa City.

He married Ellen Anita Giles on November 3 1962 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. They were the parents of Timothy, Matthew, Benjamin, Erin, Andrew, Christopher and Elizabeth. He served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years, stationed in San Diego and Seattle.

Tom was employed with Boeing from 1966 - 68, then went to work for Amana Refrigeration from 1968 - 2000. He worked with several veteran service organizations and most recently was the director of the Iowa County Veterans Service. He sang with the Believers for many years and also the St Wenceslaus Choir.

Tom and Anita shared their love with countless foster children over the years. They were instrumental in reuniting Vietnamese refugee families whose children were in Tom and Anita's care through the unaccompanied minors program.
