Services for Albert Crooks will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2011, at the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville, with Reverend Donald Lemmons officiating assisted by David Gouch. Burial will be at Big Island Cemetery, Deville, Louisiana, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
Visitation will be Friday, September 9, 2011, at Hixson Brothers, Pineville, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Mr. Crooks, 72, of Deville, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria.
He was a member of Big Island Baptist Church, Deville, and he was retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac & Levia Tyler Crooks; son, Lance Crooks; brother, Gilbert Crooks .
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Vera Crooks of Deville; son, Voyd Crooks of Deville; daughter, Arlene Rhymes & husband James of Pineville; grandchildren, James Eric Rhymes, Kacy Brown & husband Scott, Jarred Rhymes, Christopher Rhymes, Hannah Rhymes; great granddaughter, Kylie Brown.
