Mrs. Margaret C. Cowley, 74, 225 N. Cole, died Thursday at Ball Hospital. Mrs. Cowley was associated with the Ball Memorial Hospital School of Nursing from 1953 until her retirement in 1960. She was active in the pediatrics ward at the hospital from 1927 until 1953. Mrs. Cowley was a graduate of the Butler University School of Nursing.
In her early life Mrs. Cowley was associated with Foreign Mission Service of the Christian Church and served as a missionary in India for seven years.
Mrs. Cowley was a member of Hazelwood Christian Church and the Alpha Philathea class of the church. She was active in Republican politics for many years and was a former member of the Republican Women's Club. She was a member of the Muncie BPW Club.
Mrs. Cowley was the widow of Harold Cowley who died in 1959.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Parson Mortuary with Dr. Robert G. Sulanke officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Callers will be received at the mortuary from 7 to 9 o'clock tonight and after 10 a.m. Saturday.
