He had a brother, John Cronk, who was in Co A 16th Wisconsin Infantry. John Cronk died near Corinth, Mississippi, 17 June 1862. I did not find his grave. Their mother, Louisa D Cronk, received a Mother's Pension, 13 April 1869, based on her son John's service. See pension card. Another brother, George, also Co A 16th Wisconsin, survived the war.
