Mrs. Mary Agnes Croft Boltin, 91, of 340 Clarendon Ave., Orangeburg, died Saturday, August 26, 2006, at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 28, at Orangeburg Baptist Tabernacle, with the Rev. Bud Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Active pallbearers will be Richard C. "Ricky" McDaniel, Walter Ira McDaniel, James R. Basham, Mark I. Basham, Brian L. Boltin, Valerie LaFrage, Walter R. "Tripp" Boltin III. Mrs. Boltin was born April 28, 1915, in Denmark, a daughter of the late George Washington Croft and Bertha Tant Croft. She was a member of the Orangeburg Baptist Tabernacle Church. She was the widow of the late Walter Raymond Boltin Sr. Mrs. Boltin's life was rich with love from her family, her friends, her church and her garden. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Lawton Eugene Hooker; son-in-law, Richard C. McDaniel Sr.; sisters, Thelma Bates and Nina McGee; brothers, McKinley Croft and George Croft.
Survivors include three daughters, Agnes Ann McDaniel of Cordova, Patricia Marie Basham and husband, Jim, of Cary, N.C., and Bertha Kay Livingston and husband, Frankie, of Columbia; son, Walter Raymond Boltin Jr. and wife, Jackie, of Goose Creek; three sisters, Maida Gue of Norway, Ruby Morrell of North, and Doris Mott of San Antonio, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and seven
great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the residence, 340 Clarendon Ave., and at Thompson Funeral Home of Orangeburg. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, August 27, at Thompson Funeral Home of Orangeburg.
