Born March 2, 1916, in West Virginia, he was the son of the late George and Sally (George) Crites.
Mr. Crites worked for the B&O Railroad and was self-employed.
Surviving are his wife, Bernadine Crites; his sister, Edna Cook, Cumberland; and three nephews, Richard Crites, Cumberland, Melvin Crites, Cumberland, and Keith Deetz, West Virginia.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, (scarpellifh.com) on Thursday from noon to 2 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Joseph DiNicola officiating.
Interment will be in Oliver Grove Cemetery.
