Emma J. Amos
Emma Janet "Peggy" Crites Amos, 69, of Parkersburg passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 13, 1936, in Nicholas County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Romeo Cutlip and Jessie Starcher. Emma was retired from the DHHR after 22 years of service and she was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was a member of lifetime partners of CCMH.
Surviving are her husband, William G. Amos; three daughters, Shelby Crites and Edith (Bob) Forshey, all of Parkersburg, and Ula (Rick) Starcher of Washington, W.Va.; one son, Blaine Crites of Parkersburg; three brothers; five sisters; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ulon Crites.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg, with the Rev. Keith Hostutler officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Mineral Wells. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
