Audrey Regina Almendinger of Avon died early Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at the Madison Valley Hospital at Ennis.

Audrey was born Dec. 16, 1919, at Cardwell to the late Albert and Clara Critchfield. Audrey married Loren J. Almendinger June 9, 1942, and they moved to Avon in January 1946. Loren passed away June 20, 1999.

Audrey moved to Ennis approximately three years ago, where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and John Thomas.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Loren Almendinger; two sisters, Jessie Martin and Marjorie Rupple of Harrison and a brother, Raymond Critchfield of Whitehall.

Survivors include three daughters, Marjorie and her husband, Jack Kent and Gayle and her husband, John Thomas, both of Ennis, and Katheryn Donahue of Tehachipi, Calif.; and sons Dennis Almendinger and his wife, Peggy of Avon, and David Almendinger and his wife, Linda, of Salem, Ore. There are also 11 grandchildren and 11 grea-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 8, at 1 p.m. from the K&L Mortuary Chapel at Ennis with Rev. Charlie Christensen officiating. Interment will occur in the Harrison Cemetery.
