HARROGATE, Tenn. — Harold E. Crigger, age 77, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at the Morristown –Hamblen Hospital in Morristown, Tenn
A veteran of the United States Army, he had been a truck driver for 30 years. He was a member of the Church of The Risen Lord. Born June 23, 1933 in Lee County, Va., he was the son of the late James Crigger and Ersula Snavely.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by sisters, Frances Hill and Lola Wilder; brother: J.D. Crigger and an infant brother.
He is survived by his loving wife and caregiver, Eva Crigger; two daughters: Maria (Doug) Daniels, and Teresa (David) Massengill; grandchildren: Alex, Morgan and Samuel; brother, Don (Betty) Crigger; sisters: Ruth Wilder and Thelma Greer; sisters-in-law: Elizabeth (Toby) Gibson, Sandy Wade, and Marilyn Mayes; the nurses and staff of Amedysis Home Health; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 4:15 p.m., Friday, October 8, at Green Hills Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Patty Massengill officiating.
Pallbearers will be David Massengill, Doug Daniels, Samuel Daniels, Larry Greer, Benny Pauley, Doug Howard,Wes Mayes, Wayne Mills, Jack Skidmore, and Bill Gibson.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m.. Friday, October 8, at the Shumate Funeral Home Chapel.
