He was born Aug. 1, 1935, in Lewistown, the son of Richard and Mildred Pauline (Brown) Crick.
Surviving are one daughter, Beth Crick of Peoria; four sons, Daren Crick of Galesburg, Gary Jr. (and Christine) Martin of Fort Worth, Ga., Cary L. Syrdale of Peoria Heights and Lynn S. Syrdale Jr. of Peoria; one sister, Norma Saufley of Ipava; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Marjorie Louise Batterton, and one brother, Max Alfred Crick.
He worked as a U.S. Mail contractor in Galesburg for over 30 years.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, in Ipava Cemetery, with the Rev. Josh Moore officiating. There will be no visitation. Shawgo Memorial Home, Astoria, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
