HANNA CITY, IL - Helen (Crews) Campanella, 85, of Hanna City, formerly of Granville, Ill., passed away at 8:08 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Manor Care in Pekin, Illinois.
She was born June 5, 1925, in McNabb, Ill., the daughter of Albert and Mary (Allen) Crews.
She married Joseph L. Daugherty in 1944. They later divorced. She married Frank Campanella on April 25, 1970, in Peoria. He preceded her in death.
Helen was employed for many years by the U.S. Postal Service in Peoria, retiring in 1989 from the Glen Avenue facility in Peoria.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Daugherty (Debby) of Peoria, Ill., and Timethy (Jill) Daugherty of Geneva, Switzerland; one daughter, Linda (L.D.) Lund of Lake Delton, Wis.; two sisters, Mary Kormelink and Betty Petzynski; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
One grandchild preceded her in death.
Burial will be in Friends Cemetery in McNabb.
