Ethel Crew

Age 89, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2014 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing.
She was born on March 18, 1925 in Southampton, England and spent her childhood and early adulthood in Luton, England. On March 25, 1948, she married her childhood sweetheart, Eric, in Windsor, Canada. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Detroit, then to Royal Oak and Troy, Michigan, where they raised their three children. Together they realized their dream of living in the United States. Eric preceded her in death in January, 2011.
She is survived by her children, Joyce (Michael) Enlow, Ralph (Kay) Crew, Douglas (Cris) Crew; grandchildren, Alexis Hight, Hilary Hight, Eric (Nicole) Crew, and Anna (David) Censer, and great-grandchildren Winston Animasaun and Iain Crew.
At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Meridian Township Senior Center, 4000 Okemos Road, Okemos, MI 48864. For many years she and Eric enjoyed various activities there, as well as volunteering their services.
