Christopher Wayne Creekmore passed away on June 16 in Omaha, Neb., in a swimming accident where he and his little brother Jimmy Duncan were enjoying a day at the river.Chris was born on April 20, 1977, to Gene Creekmore and Lona (Sigwing) Duncan. He grew up in Goddard and Newton and lived in Omaha. He was always full of life and enjoyed everything life had to offer. He was a very charismatic person, who never met a stranger or had any enemies.He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Creekmore.He is survived by son, Arizona Creekmore; mother and father, Lona and Terry Duncan; sisters, Jennifer and Chad Burns, Lori Beth and Scott Bonebrake, and Katie Jo Duncan; brother, Jimmy Duncan; four nephews and two nieces; two grandmothers; three uncles and four aunts; and several cousins. Children he loved as his own are Kayla, the Des, Dylan, and Colton, and his dog Chuck.A memorial has been set up for Arizona Creekmore, in care of Lona Duncan, at Midland National Bank, Newton.A celebration of life service will be at the home of Terry and Lona Duncan, 809 E. First St., Newton, on June 29, 2013, beginning at 2 p.m.
