Mrs. Cappie Creek, 95, R.R. 5, died at 6:30 a.m today in Rush Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks, after many years of failing health.
A resident of the Rushville communitymost of her life, Mrs Creek had been living with a son, Denzil Creek. three miles west of here. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Shelbyville.
She was born near Arlington on November 29, 1873, the daughter of John and Margaret Ritter McDaniel and was married September 23, 1893 to Thomas Creek, who died November 10, 1945.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs Italy Young of Shelbyville; two sons, Denzil, with whom she lived, and Glen Creek, R.R. 6; a sister, Mrs Laura Copple, R.R. 5 Shelbyville, 10 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 12 Great-great-grandchildren. A son Verl, died june 9, 1966.
The Rev. F.J. Kuntz will conduct services at 2 p.m., Saturday at the Carmony Funeral Home in Shelbyville, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday, with burial in Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
