Mark Richard Creedon, age 33, of Brockton, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, surrounded by his entire family at Brigham and Womens Hospital after a sudden illness. Mark, the first child to Brian and Andrea (Pratt) Creedon, was born in Brockton, April 7, 1977 - a birthday he shared with his grandfather, Richard Pratt. A lifelong resident of Brockton, Mark was a 1995 graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School. He went on to complete his degree in economics at UMass-Boston while also working at the Registry of Motor Vehicles in Brockton. Law was Marks passion and at the time of his death he was in his final semester at UMass Law School at Dartmouth. He was also working as a law clerk at the Plymouth County District Attorneys office in Brockton. In his free time, Mark enjoyed sports, golf, reading and was an avid runner. He most especially enjoyed hanging out with his brothers and sister and extended family. A devout Catholic with strong beliefs, Mark was a communicant of St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving brothers and sister, Matthew Creedon and his wife Katherine of Hong Kong, Adam Creedon and his wife Kaitlin of New York City, Seth Creedon and his wife Janis of Brockton and Elizabeth Creedon of New York City. He was the beloved grandson of Richard and Elaine Pratt of West Bridgewater and the late Robert and Kathryn Creedon; and the loving uncle of Cecilia Creedon and Miles Creedon. Mark was the cherished nephew of his Godparents, Robert and Geraldine Creedon Jr. of Brockton, and his uncles and aunts, John and Shirley Creedon of South Easton, Michael and Linda Creedon of Cotuit, Kevin and Sue Creedon of Brockton, David and Debra Pratt of Bridgewater and Ted and Krista Pratt of West Bridgewater. He also leaves many heart-broken cousins and friends. Visiting hours will be at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, from 3 to 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Church, 631 N. Main St., Brockton, at 11 a.m. The burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery.
