John "Jack" T. Creedon, 77, a resident of Queensbury, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at his residence following a short illness.

Born in Glens Falls, on Aug. 21, 1927, he was the son of the late Neil J. and Bernice (Hopkins) Creedon.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Marine Corp.

Jack was married Feb. 15, 1948, to the late Lucille S. Creedon. They just recently celebrated 57 years of marriage.

He retired from Niagara Mohawk after 25 years of service. Following his retirement John was very active with community service.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and traveling extensively; and was a member of the Glens Falls BPOE Lodge 81.

Jack was predeceased by his wife Lucille, who passed away on Feb. 22, 2005; a son, Barry Creedon; a daughter, Carol Ann Creedon Keyes; his brother, Barry Creedon; his sister, Dorothea Robillard; and brother-in-law, Harold Dorrer.

Survivors include his grandson, Daniel Keyes and his wife, Johanna; and his great-granddaughter, Quinn Keyes of Gettysburg, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Karen Creedon of Gloversville; a sister, Elinor Dorrer of South Glens Falls; and a brother-in-law, Donald W. Robillard of South Glens Falls. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 23, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, Queensbury.

Burial will take place on Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at Corinth Rural Cemetery.

There are no calling hours scheduled.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send a remembrance in Jack's name to St. Mary's Academy, 10-12 Church St., Glens Falls, NY 12801.

Arrangements are under the direction of Regan and Denny Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury.
